Polo of he orient regarded as the game of kings and king of the games has been played form centuries in the Northern regions of Pakistan. Skardu and Khaplu are the home of tradiional polo in Baltistan according to a legend it was originated in Baltistan and spread to far flung. places as far as China, Central Asia and India. The archaic chronicles of Chinese and Moghuls provide testimony that the game was played in wild war like style of Battle field and hunderd players adopted wining tactics and strategies as of the battle field. The legendary fables related when a prince was killed during a game and the emperor executed the players. Moghuls played polo at night with burning balls. present day polo in the Northern Areas though follows some rules but is still played in a wild fashion.
