Gondogoro La Trek

(A high level traverse from Hushe to Concordia over the Gondogoro La)

A circular trek starting at Hushe and exiting via Askole and Braldo gorge. Other companies offer this trip by walking up the Baltoro glacier on the approach to the Gondogoro La, but we believe that our itinerary, starting out in Hushe, provides a much safer and more logical direction in which to complete this circuit. The acclimatisation the valleys above Hushe is perfect and starting out from the Hushe side also means that we can reach the only difficult dramatic entry into Concordia than the alternative Baltoro Glacier approach.

Before crossing to the Baltoro system, the group will acclimatize in the delightful Hushe valley and there is the option to make an ascent of Gondogoro peak. At the Gondogoro itself there is an initially new and breathtaking perspective on the mountains, which encircle " The Throne Room of the Mountain gods.
