K2 Concordia

Trekking into the heart of Karakoram to Concordia involves a long and some time strenuous walk through a remote and inaccessible land from the road head at Askole, which is itself somewhat inaccessible.

At Concordia, our ultimate destination, there is an assembly of giant peaks, which lies simply unmatched any where in the world. Spending a night at Concordia, where five famous glaciers (Baltoro, Godwin Austin, Broad, West Gasharbrum and Abruzzi) meet and five of the world's famous above 8,000 meters peaks (Chogolingsa, Gasharbrum I & II, Falchan (Brak Broad peak), and Chogo R1 (K2) are visible, is spectacular. A legend that one night spent in a tent at Concordia increases the life span by one year. The air around here is pure, cool and invigorating. This is why, not surprising, that the mighty mountains of the Karakoram should but attract the mighty adventurous persons from all over the world to make them feel stronger.
